3 Signs Your Business Isn't Aligning With Your Life

If you’re like my clients, you’re actively trying to build a business that enables you to bring more time, choice, and freedom into your life.

But similarly, if you’re like my clients, you might be finding that more often than not, your business is actually taking up so much time, energy, and thinking, that it’s costing you the very freedom you’d been seeking. So how do you know when you’re needing to make some changes to save you AND your business?

When Being A Business Owner Doesn't Feel Like Freedom: Signs You Need To Shift

1. Do you continue saying YES to clients that you know in your gut you’re not excited to work with?

Or maybe you keep offering to lower your rates instead of holding steady in your pricing? Or maybe you’re telling yourself not to take on new clients at all because you have more work than you can manage, but you keep saying YES anyway…

If you find yourself making the same decisions over and over again without really asking yourself what your intentions are, it’s time to address this pattern.

And even more importantly, it’s necessary to think about the cost of breaking the commitments you’re making to yourself and your clients.

2. Are you finding that you’re not really making any money?

Or are you realizing that you’re working ALL the time and feel like the income you’re making doesn’t match the effort you’re putting in?

If this is you, it’s time to take a good, hard look at your numbers to see what patterns you can find. Maybe your clients are always buying your least expensive package but it’s taking as much time to create as your more expensive package?

It’s time to get clear on your clients, their investment in your work, and what the relationship is between time, effort, and income.

3. Are you not really enjoying your work anymore?

Or maybe you’re questioning the value you’re creating more than ever before? Or maybe you’re just so physically run down and stressed that you don’t even remember why you started your business?

If this sounds like you, your body and your soul might be alerting you to burn out. You created this business for a reason and if you’re finding yourself disconnected from your work, it’s likely that you’ve lost touch with your mission or you’re not regularly honoring your values in how you’re doing your work.

It’s time to take a break and recalibrate so you’re able to understand how you truly feel about your business and what choices you can make!
